A nice necklace...that has dark red beads...or anything dark red....that I might be able to borrow for next weekend? I'm looking for one that hangs a few inches below the collar bone.

Whoever can come...

I am hosting a Scentsy party on Wednesday August 6th from 7pm-9pm. Click here to find out more about the scentsy product if you are not familiar with them. (They are wonderful!)

I will be delivering some reminders this weekend, however if you do not get one and would still like to come over, please do. EVERYONE is welcome to come. So if you are in the neighborhood and would like to stop by for an enjoyable evening along with some yummy treats and good company, then stop by.

Let's Do A Girls Night!

OK, I will be in desperate need of a Girl's Night on Friday (Aug. 1st). So let's do it. I'll put a poll on the blog, or just make a comment as to whether you want a Girl's Night OUT or a Girl's Night In. Let me know which you would prefer and if you are coming. I'd like to have the details nailed down by Thursday (If we do a night out, I'd need to find a babysitter). Anyway, let me know... My home phone is working again, but there is no answering machine (for those who don't know, my actual physical phone broke, so I just bought a cheap one at Target yesterday to make sure it was the phone and not the line, so there is no answering machine on the cheap phone) I Can't WAIT!

STAKE PRIMARY ACTIVITY

Wednesday, August 6th, Stake Center Pavilion

9-12, Open House - come any time during those hours

*Kids will be participating in a variety of "Olympic" events. This should be lots of fun (ok, I might be slightly biased) and a great activity to invite your non-or-less active neighbor kids to.

*A handout will be handed out this Sunday to your kids in Primary, but that doesn't necessarily mean you'll see it :)

Details on Scout Activity 7-29

The scoop that I got was that on Tuesday 7-29 the scouts are supposed to bring (2) empty 2 liter bottles to their activity that afternoon. This is when they will make their Bottle Rockets that will then be launched at pack meeting on Tuesday 8-5.

Also, if you have other children going to pack meeting that may want to participate in this...that they will need to bring (to pack mtg) their rockets already made from home. I think that the scouts will be bringing home instructions on Tuesday.

I hope that all of this is right and that it helps. Any questions call you scout leader.

Primary Activity Day

Does anyone have the info on the primary activity that is supposed to be this Wed?
My kids said that they were going to have one, but didn't know any info on it.

- learn to make children's knitted hats on the loom (bring your own loom, either the red or the green size...loom kits can be bought at Wal-mart or Roberts)

Evening session 7-9

Need Help???

If you've made it this far, but aren't sure what to do next, please ask someone in our ward. We want everyone to be able to benefit from this blog. If you feel you don't know much about blogging and would like a little help, JUST ASK!!! It may seem a little overwhelming to some of you, but believe me...If I can do it (and I am very technologically challenged!!!), anyone can :) And if you are reading this and know of someone who could use help, go help them and get them involved in this. Spread the word to your visiting teachers and neighbors this next month so that everyone will know!

I don't know if anyone will check this in time, but I have 2 tickets for the Pioneer Day Commemoration Concert at the conference center for TONIGHT, Saturday the 26th.

You have to be in your seats by 7:00 and no children under 8 are allowed. If you think you might want to use these tickets let me know and you can swing by and pick them up.

along with activities...etc. It might also be good if we post about Sisters that might need help with something. If someone has been in the hospital for anything like an emergency, surgery or baby and needs anything. (by the way there's 3 I can think of right now Mireen, Joe, and Diana)
Maybe Julia can help us with this one.

To the Ladies of North Lake 2nd ward blog. I heard it costs $4 for adults, and kids 3 and under are free.
