a few things

Hello ladies - a few things,

*Our ward is in charge of going to the Developmental Center this month. We need a few people to come to some of these dates.

March 13th (Sunday) @ 8 AM - This will be taking the residents to and from church, and attending the ward there. Church will end at 11, so you'd be able to come back to our ward in the afternoon.

March 16th (Wednesday) @ 6 PM - This is their mutual night. It involves taking the residents to the cultural hall and having a dance, which is pushing their wheelchairs around the gym.

For those that don't know, the Developmental Center is a place where people with disabilities live. It is right across the street from the temple. This is a great experience for all involved. I did it as a youth, and it was a blast. If you have YM or YW (14 and older) encourage them to go, and possible try to come with them. If you'd like to participate in either or both of these, please contact Katie - 2mrskd{at}gmail.com.

*Our ward was in charge of this months Humanitarian Project, and Lyndee Schowengerdt did a wonderful job of putting it together. I received an email from our Stake Humanitarian Leader, Whitney Heap.

Thank you to all of you for your part in a wonderful Humanitarian Activity today. We had a high turnout, with plenty of projects for everyone to do. Terri's tutus turned out so cute; Lyndee's blankets were easy to cut and tie and looked great; Pamela's curtains and art projects for the elementary school were so fun; and both baby blankets were completely tied and are ready to have the edges finished.

Thank you for all of your time preparing your projects and for your help with set up and clean up today. Everyone in attendance just seemed to enjoy each other's company and visiting while we worked on projects. You each do amazing work! Thank you for magnifying your callings and serving so faithfully.

With Love,
Whitney Heap

Thanks to everyone that helped put that on!

*We have quite a few babies being born in the next few months, if you want to be on the list to do meals contact Kristin Barkdull 801-766-9722 or Katie Dayton 801-592-4311. You can even ask to do a meal for a specific person if you would like. Thanks!
