Need advice on getting a double stroller

I'm looking into getting a double stroller for when Baby #2 arrives. Does anyone have any good suggestions or tips on which ones to avoid. I've heard good and bad about the Sit 'N Stand ones and I'm not sure if I want a side by side one. I want to make sure I'm getting something good on a purchase like this. I would appreciate your feedback! Thanks!

I went to Hogle Zoo when I was expecting Tanner and asked every lady about their stroller! My husband was humiliated, oh well! From my ONE day research, the best results were the side by side. The ones with the long ones said it was hard to turn, sit and stand said their standing kids got tired. So we went side by side, and loved it! It fits thru doors (sometimes needs a little manuevering) and even gates at DisneyLand (well, the handicapped ones). It was easier for us to keep an eye on them, hear them when they needed something, hand them stuff while walking, etc. My only wish, I wish I had heard of double jogging strollers (with a turning front wheel) when I was looking. I hear those are wonderful. That's just my 2 cents, take it for what its worth! :D

i love the sit and stand one. especially now that we have 3. if we need to we fit all 3 of them on there. i really don't have any complaints about it.
you can come borrow our for a few days. and give it a test run if you want to.

I know I am not in the ward anymore but I still like to read the blog! I have the sit 'n stand plus. The back seat can come off so the older child can stand or it snaps on easy if they are tired. When the seat is off, there is a little bench like thing too that they can sit on. We love it. Easy to push, fits in the trunk, easy to put down and not as heavy as most double strollers. You are welcome to use ours too to try it out! Good Luck. I also did a lot of research on them!

Make sure to get a swivel wheel on the front if you do the side by side running stroller.

We have a Jeep side-by-side and I LOVE it. It's light-weight, durable, and incredibly easy to maneuver. I've never been somewhere where it won't fit through the doors. There's not a ton of storage but you can hang bags from the handles on the back. We took it to Disneyland and had no problem.

We shopped around for a few months... We decided on the Graco Quatro and have LOVED it. We borrowed a sit-n-stand when we were looking and Tydon hated being backwards in it. I LOVE that it holds a car seat because most of the doubles don't. Both seats recline so my boys can sleep comfortably in it. It is kinda bulky in the trunk, but I can still make a Costco trip and pack it all in our Accord. I use it 2-3 times a week. It's been worth the investment. You can borrow it any time if you'd like... it will give me an excuse to come see you!

Here's my 2 cents...I LOVE the sit and stand...and if you go that route Joovy is the BEST. It does come with the car seat attachment for the front, but I have figured out a way to put the carseat on the back so gavin can comfortably sit in the front (and strap in, if I want). Looks like lots of people have offered and I would borrow as many as you can. I'll even through in a baby for you to borrow :) MUST HAVES - No matter what kind you choose - front swivel wheel(s), able to use with a car seat...or you won't even get to use it til baby is 5/6 months, fits in your trunk (and still leaves space for other things, groceries, etc...) fits through doors.

Happy shopping!!!
